On August 25, 2025, Mr. Bounmy Phimmasone, President of Provincial People Council of Khammouane Province, presided over the official opening ceremony of the 7-Eleven Ban Nabo branch, situated in Thakhek District, Khammouane Province. This marks the launch of the very first 7-Eleven store in the province, celebrated in the presence of numerous distinguished guests who extended their congratulations.

This branch is strategically situated in the Thakhaek district, along the Mekong River, serving as a central hub for local living and evening activities for both residents and tourists. It is managed by Mrs. Phetdaovy Butthavong, a 46-year-old Lao partner with extensive expertise in real estate and tourism. With a genuine commitment to enhancing the service sector, she aims to support the region’s tourism industry while generating direct and indirect employment opportunities for the Lao People.

Mrs. Phetdaovy Butthavong, the partner of the 7-Eleven NaBo Branch, stated that modern retail stores like 7-Eleven aim to enhance convenience by offering quality, standard products to both the local community and tourists, available 24 hours a day. This will result in the growth of tourism-related activities, creating more income opportunities for individuals alongside direct employment. This will serve as training for the younger generation, equipping them with knowledge beneficial for the area’s long-term growth.

“7-Eleven is a highly recognized brand, offering a wide range of quality products supported by a strong management system. With the support of the CP All Lao team in areas such as planning, investment, and employee training, we are confident in our ability to achieve sustainable success, generate employment opportunities, foster career development, and contribute to a sense of pride within Lao society,” stated by Mrs. Phetdaovy Butthavong.
